On the 24th of September every year, we celebrate our nation's diverse culture and heritage and how these reflect and shape our values, beliefs, and aspirations. When we learn about our heritage, we obtain a historical picture of what is unique about our family and culture and a deeper awareness of who we are. As Marcus Garvey once said, “A people without knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.”.
